SAILING EVENTS
Sailing with event management uk promises to be an exiting and unforgettable experience, tailor made for staff development, entertaining business clients or just a relaxing day out.
Our sailing events cater for small or large groups, novices and experience sailors alike and a skipper will be on hand to provide advice and guidance.
You will experience the thrill of learning to sail 40’ cruiser / racer yachts and take part in a number of challenges that can be set up to suit the aspirations of your crew, making an ideal team building experience to complement any classroom training that may have taken place before hand.
Here are a some examples available to you:
Sigma 38s
The Sigma 38 was designed as a fast cruiser/racer and has been
established as a one design class. These yachts are deal for
corporate events and have an extensive sail wardrobe to suit
both cruising and racing and have earned a well deserved reputation.
Beneteau 40.7’s
The Beneteau 40.7 is a fast cruiser / racer. The very spacious
cockpit layout lends itself to corporate events, and like the Sigmas
have an extensive sail wardrobe to suit both cruising and racing
both offshore and inshore.
Sailing Day Beneteau 40.7’s
Our Beneteau 40.7’s hold an MCA passenger license for ten guests, but realistically they are more suitable for eight persons on a Team Building Regatta day. This ensures that everyone has a role to play and everyone is involved in sailing the boat.
| 9.30am: | Guests arrive at Ocean Village. Tea, coffee & Danish pastries served. Guests are split into teams and skippers introduced. General Briefing on days activities. |
| 10.00am: | Teams are shown to their yachts. Skippers safety briefing. Prepare for departure. |
| 10.30am: | Teams depart for practice, familiarisation and basic sailing tuition in Solent. All team members will have the opportunity to take a full part in sailing the yachts, including helming and trim sails. |
| 1.00pm: | Arrive at Cowes or Yarmouth for lunch on board or ashore. |
| 2.30pm: | Race starts off The Royal Yacht Squadron, Cowes |
| 4.30pm: | Race finishes. |
| 5.00pm: | Yachts arrive at back at Ocean Village |
| 5.30pm: | Prize giving to the winning crew. |

We sail from Southampton, Portsmouth, Lymington, Bucklers Hard, The Hamble, Poole and Cowes.
Zefyr Wingsail Trimaran
There are only four of these boats worldwide. It is a trimaran
powered by an aerospace wing which glides the craft effortlessly
through
the water. If you want to impress your clients this is the yacht
to do it. Her large expanses of deck space make her ideally suitable
for corporate events
Rum Jungle is a 75-foot
custom-built motor yacht and offers excellent hospitality in
style and comfort. All events are run by an experienced team including
a professional skipper, dedicated crew, stewardesses and a chef
to ensure every guests' need is catered for.
A spacious saloon at deck level can seat up to 12 for lunch or dinner while with the upper deck 40 guests can be taken for an exhilarating day out on the Solent.
